Through my writing I explore the powerful world of objects. As a child, I would gather things that intrigued or inspired me - pictures, CD covers, jewelry, mementos from friends, and more - and secure them to the walls of my bedroom so I would always be surrounded by them. They followed me to my dorm when I went to college, to my first, second, and third apartments, and even now live hidden and secure in closets and drawers in my home. I use writing to convey the world of things and the meaning objects have in relating people's experiences. I carry this work through fiction, research articles, and even into my professional space where I design learning objects to enhance educational experiences.
